H. *GREYWOODS DUSTY BUDS  $100.00
(Wilkinson 07)  Dor. 25” M-L  5.75”  Re.
This well proportioned plant is a delight in the garden. It’s a pansy petalled, flat pink lavender with a vivid purple plum eye & thin rim. The buds have a powdery-looking coating much like on blue hostas & grapes, that lessens later in the day.  A vivid grass green throat and nicely fertile.  Rebloomed 2 out of 3 years for us!  Top branches but, of no matter as it’s for the front of the border, and blooms just above the pretty blue foliage. (MASKED PHANTOM X DARLA ANITA) X CELEBRATION OF ANGELS.

H. GREYWOODS KIWI FROG     75.00
(Wilkinson 07) Dip Sev. 37” M-LM  8+”  UF
Some names just stick, and I’ve always called this cascading UF “Frog”, because of it’s huge dynamic green throat.  The rose coral blooms have a rose red band, and form is sometimes variable from cascading to pinched.   3 br. towards the top, but many scapes, and a real show off from a distance!  Fertile and hardy, this one is aways popular in the garden.  [MAD MAX X Sdlg (MAGIC OF OZ X VICTORIAN RIBBONS)]

H. JUDY’S WAY            100.00
(Melin/ Wilkinson 07)   Dor.  28”  LM   5.25”       Dip
I’ve had this plant for years, and I feel it’s now time to bring it onto the market.  It was hybridized by Irene Melin – my mentor – and she passed away before I was able to introduce it for her. H. JUDY’S WAY is a pretty, soft light pink of smooth texture, with a muted rose pink band. The yellow center bleeds into a green throat, and it has 3 branches w/ 20+ buds.  Of classic form, this plant is a lovely addition for the later garden.  Very hardy and moderately fertile.  (BARBARA MITCHELL X UNK)

H. *SPIRIT HAWK     100.00
(Wilkinson 07)   Dor.   39”  EM-LM  Ext.   7.5”-8”
In keeping with my resolve to introduce only good garden hems this year, and not just pretty faces, this daylily certainly fits the mold.  The big flat to recurved thin stars are a deep straw yellow with a jagged brick rose triangular eye, and a green throat.  Blooms for a long period, with nice foliage and strong scapes. From good parents, it’s mostly fertile, and has 3 br. & 24 buds. Great to use with Southern spiders! (EYES A BLUE X GREYWOODS LOFTY LIZZIE)

ADADFARM’S 2007 Introductions

Name Pending A:     (T03-17) – [Curt Turner – 2007]

5.5”, 26”, dormant, M, tetraploid. Blazing hot orange-gold with a large red eye. From across the garden, NAME PENDING commands attention to itself like an inferno to its namesake. Much has been said of the heroics of large-city firefighters in recent years. This cultivar is named in honor of the everyday service and sacrifices of rural volunteers, ever vigilant and on-call, protecting homes and outbuildings in smaller communities across the continent.  From seed planted outdoors in northeastern Massachusetts in November, it is cold-hardy.  With its red stamens reflecting its eye, its hot orange-gold pistil echoing its throat and its red veins intensely radiating outward from the eye, Name Pending is the best of a long cross of Hot Jazz x Fooled Me that has covered several growing seasons.  Grown with neglect to date, it produced ten buds on two scapes in its 2006 first bloom season.  NAME PENDING is fertile both ways, has been selfed, out-crossed and sib-crossed extensively and its kids are eagerly anticipated.  For those interested while stock is building, a waiting list will reserve the 2007 pre-release price of $80, plus shipping applicable at the time of release. Provide me with your name, e-mail address and telephone # and I will be in touch at release time. Price subject to increase for those added to the list after 2007.

Name Pending B: (D03-117) – [Curt Turner - 2007]

3.25”, 31”, dormant, MLa, diploid. Exquisite beauty characterizes this cultivar which contemplates the fresh-aired open loveliness of the next Princess in marriage to the royal House of Windsor. Whether or not destined to live happily-ever-after in matrimony; this lady will turn hearts and heads whatever her future.  NAME PENDING is a near-white, cold-hardy self with features that beg for the spreading of a blanket on the ground in rapt contemplation of them: a lovely clear light-lavender eye with darker lavender veins within the eye that change to a light pumpkin-beige as they spread outwards towards a fine-translucent edge of the same color; a creamy light-yellow outer throat over an apple-green inner throat, and a slate-white midrib bisected vertically by the thinnest charcoal silken thread.  Medium green foliage sets off four-way branching and twenty buds in its 2006 first-year bloom season.  NAME PENDING is a commoner’s cross of (White Lemonade x U) X Seedling.  For those interested while stock is building, a waiting list will reserve the 2007 pre-release price of $100, plus shipping applicable at the time of release. Provide me with your name, e-mail address and telephone # and I will be in touch at release time.
